2010 at Signature

So 2010 is here and wakeskating is now over a decade old and still growing faster than ever despite a horrible economy. Never let it be said that starting a new wakeskate company in probably the worst economy ever and with the smallest budget ever is impossible, but it’s definitely not easy! Signature Wakeskates hopes to bring all new product, along with improving on some old stuff for the new year. I am very proud of our first board and it has had a overwhelming positive response through out our first 1/2 a year of production. I want to say thanks to every one that supported us as a new company and put their faith in me to make a good quality product.

I can safely say that Signature is a world wide brand with a world wide following. I have shipped boards all over the world where I would of never guessed that people would know of Signature Wakeskates. Europe, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, and many more. As we know, most things are not made 100% perfect the first time.

So for 2010 we are going to make those necessary changes like upgrading our board base from a pbt skin to a dura surf grind base very similar to most snowboard bases. Along with that we hope to produce an all new 1-piece 3d board. It will incorporate the same Signature patented vertically laminated wood core for unrivaled durability, feel, and pop along with a totally new never before seen method for producing customizable concave. We hope to be able to have this board available by mid 2010.

Now as great as that sounds, Signature is still a small fish in a very big pond and does still need time to grow along with its budget. The manufacturing industry is not known for being a small business-friendly place and does not like to cater to companies that can’t make giant orders for materials and a overflowing wallet. Despite this we are very dedicated to wakeskating and will not let this stop us from bringing new ideas and products to the market. It just takes more time and persistence to make things happen.
